Warranty

We guarantee the conformity and manufacturing quality of the products sold at bloohawk.com. The full legal conditions are in our Terms and conditions, section 9.

Warranty period

Products are covered by a 3-year commercial warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects, in addition to the applicable legal warranty of conformity.

What the warranty covers

Manufacturing or conformity defects that manifest under reasonable use conditions. Some typical examples:

  • The hinge becomes loose or breaks when opening and closing the glasses normally.
  • The lens coating peels or flakes prematurely.
  • The frame breaks in an area without visible signs of external impact.
  • Screws that come loose repeatedly, even after tightening.
  • Lenses that detach from the frame for no apparent reason.
  • Any component that fails under normal use without an identifiable external cause.

What is not covered

Damage caused by unreasonable use, accidents, normal wear and tear, or external factors. Some examples:

  • Lenses scratched by cleaning with rough cloth, paper, or without water.
  • Frame bent by crushing (sitting on them, external pressure).
  • Damage from falls, blows, or impacts.
  • Discoloration or corrosion from exposure to chemicals (prolonged sweat, perfumes, non-recommended cleaning products).
  • Modifications made at workshops outside Bloohawk.
  • Normal cosmetic wear after months of use (fine surface scratches).

By reasonable use we mean: putting on and taking off the glasses, opening and closing them normally, wearing them throughout your day. Outside of that fall extraordinary uses such as sitting on or stepping on the glasses, bending them beyond their natural flexibility, handling them with excessive force, blows, and falls.

If you're not sure whether a problem is a manufacturing defect or use-derived, write to us with photos. We'll respond without commitment.

During the first 2 years after delivery, European legislation presumes that defects existed at the time of delivery unless proven otherwise. In practice, this means the benefit of the doubt is, by default, with you.

Basic maintenance

A few small care steps extend the life of your glasses and resolve common issues without needing to claim the warranty:

  • If the hinge becomes loose with use, you can gently tighten it with a small screwdriver (Phillips or flathead). Do not force it. If after tightening it several times it loosens again, it is a defect covered by warranty.
  • Clean the lenses with a microfiber cloth and, if necessary, with water or a specific glasses cleaner. Avoid paper, rough cotton, or breath as moisture.
  • When not in use, store them in a rigid case to avoid accidental scratches.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals and extreme temperatures (do not leave them in the car under the sun).

How to claim the warranty

  1. Write to us at info@bloohawk.com with the subject 'Warranty [your order number]'.
  2. Briefly describe the defect and, if possible, attach photographs. Photos help us evaluate quickly and fairly.
  3. Within 24 hours we respond with the procedure to follow.
  4. If the warranty applies, we cover all shipping costs (return to Bloohawk and shipping back of the repaired or replaced product). If after evaluation we conclude the case is not covered, we'll explain in detail: you can receive the product back (return shipping at your cost) or, if you prefer, we dispose of it at no cost.
